SPANISH WIGS
Martin Aaron, this former Wig deserves his place in the Hall of Fame whenever that is
announced. Part of the original Wig team, he goes down in Wig legend. Wig fans will recall his weekly Wig Gazette and his
humour. Aaron, nicknamed Temuri Ketsbaia after the famous bald one was a regular for many years until a move to Spain with
Deportivo. Now working as a Wig scout in the sunshine, he is fondly remembered by Wig fans. Part of the famous Wig three who
were sent off in a famous derby match against FC Pond life. Aaron had actually come back just to kick one player in particular!
We raise a glass to this man. Aaron can be found in the Spanish branch most nights telling stories to young Spaniards of the
famous team in black and white who dominated South West London football.
SOUTH AFRICA BRANCH
Martin
Leitch, Former Wig utility Man. Leitch , an out and out Wig. A committed hard man and always one to lead us into a battle.
He now runs the Wig bar in South Africa and Wig legends nightclub in Glasgow. Still contracted as a squad member.
DUBAI BRANCH
Alex Jevons, former Wig striker who missed a hatful of chances but always gave his utmost
to the Wig cause. Known to come on late as a sub and change a game (usually the wrong way), this plastic scouser and Everton
fan was a firm fans favourite. Bags of energy and a fit sister. . Now enjoying the sun , the Wigs Dubai branch is going strong
and has a very active committee.
GERMANY BRANCH
Dirk Wienke formed the Frankfurt branch following his departure this season. He still
returns to Wig games every now and then. A real class act this German and a good guy. At 47 he still looked 21 and at 21 he
looked 12. Youth , humour and a lot more. A nice guy. He has called his branch the 1966 boys in honour of the fine eleven
men in red.
