Champion: No more Mr Nice Guy
Wigs gaffer Tom Champion, has spoken
of his devotion to the forthcoming Wigs league campaign, by announcing the following statement: "It's
now a case of no more Mr Nice Guy... Last season, we did ok but I want more from my squad this season. There will be no more
drinking on Saturday nights and I'll expect all Wigs to be asleep by 9pm. We shall be looking at flying our squad to the games,
so they don't feel so lethargic before kick off. I want promotion this season."

Wig Army: Training 2006/7
Tom Champion has proposed training will be on the dates when the Wig
Army don't have games planned for. Last season we tried to do Sunday mornings but the response was poor so I though we could
give ourselves a lie in on Sundays with no matches and do Saturday afternoons at 3pm (maybe 2pm as nights draw in) instead.
Elliott: A yard off pace, but still good enough for hatrick
Wig Army 5-1 Kensington Athletic
A
hatrick from Jonny Elliot steered the Wigs towards league safety on Sunday, as they emphatically beat Kensington Athletic.
It was three vital points for the Wig Army. A delighted Wig team, celebrated in the Wig Arms after the game with a beer each
and a packet of crisps. The only low to the afternoon, was when fellow Wigs were disappointed to hear Elliott's failure
to drink his hatrick yard of ale. Manager Thomas Champion, was shocked to see Elliott turn down the Wig Arms Landlord's offer
of the traditional yard. "We are all very saddened. Some fans had even turned up at the Wig Arms, only to see Elliott say
no. It was a disappointing end to a good day."

Champion: The fans are our 12th player
Wig Army gaffer, Thomas Champion, has revealed his
hope for a big attendance to get behind the boys on Sunday. The match -- dubbed by many as the game of the century -- is
expected to draw interest from around the Wig globe. Champion said: "It is the Boat race on
sunday which finishes just at Chiswick bridge. Could
be a lot of people around keen on some Wig Army footy - maybe we should get some flyers out with a link to the website".

Warmo & Barnett: It's make or break time
Wig Army player Nicholas Warmingham
has highlighted the importance of this Sunday's game against Kensington Athletic. "Everyone in the bottom four is playing this Sunday....We
are playing Kensington, who are bottom and relegated already. A real must win if ever there was one.."
Former
Wig midfielder Alex Barnett has warned the players not to let their guard down. "Now get out there next Sunday
and make sure the Wigs are not relegated." he said. "Such a huge game for fans and players alike". Alex went on to say that Sunday's game is perhaps, the toughest of the season. "What a huge game now lads on sunday - if we win and Kings lose to Sporting Pond then we def
stay up ..a huge game..biggest of the season"

Gibbons: Lombardi will see us through
Wig Army stalwart, Pete Gibbons has issued a statement
after the Wigs defeat to Parsons Pond at the weekend...
"Apologies for my dreadful performance yesterday, I now know how Titus Bramble and Jean Alan Boumsong feel
every time they leave the pitch…. I was simply shocking….
Tripping up over the ball for the third goal
pretty much summed it up...SHOCKING.
But in the spirit of Vince Lombardi
it’s not the manner of the knock down, but the way you come back that is the measure of the man…"
Parsons
wons by a nose.

Wigs
not casual against Kings
A huge 2-1 win on Sunday against Kings Casuals saw Wigs remain third from bottom and still just clear
of the relegation zone. With just four games to go Wigs have started to find form just at the right time. Thomas Champion
described the win as "massive".
Wigs also saw the departure of Wig legend Alex Barnett who scored both goals on his final appearance.
Wigs now know that if Kings Casuals lose to Sporting Grove on Sunday and Wigs get a point or more against
Parsons Pond then Wigs stay up. Transistor radios will be needed!
